Angela Nolfi Ferris
Angela Ferris is an Associate who focuses her work on Medicare compliance issues. This includes preparing Medicare Set-Aside Arrangements and having the same approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to ensure that Medicare’s interests have been adequately considered as required by the Medicare Secondary Payer Statute.Ms. Ferris is a 2005 graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. She received a Master of Science degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resources and a Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish from The Pennsylvania State University in 2002 and 2001 respectively.
Prior to focusing on Medicare issues, Ms. Ferris worked in the firm’s Litigation group, providing electronic discovery, document review and relevancy coding. She also has experience in the areas of bankruptcy and family law. Ms. Ferris is licensed to practice law in the Pennsylvania courts and is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA).
Ms. Ferris provides pro bono legal services for a number of community organizations, including Christian Legal Aid of Pittsburgh, the Uptown Legal Clinic and the ACBA’s Pro Bono Center. She also is a volunteer in Burns White’s Business Boosting Early Learning Program effort. A seasoned athlete as well, Ms. Ferris is a long distance runner. In 2009, she completed the Pittsburgh Marathon with proceeds from her fundraising efforts being donated to the Run for Congo Women.
Ms. Ferris is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
