Michelle A. Allan
Michelle Allan is a Member currently practicing in the firm's Workers' Compensation Section.Ms. Allan obtained her Bachelor of Arts in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she received the Judge David Shahl Memorial Scholarship.
In addition to practicing Workers' Compensation Law, Ms. Allan focuses her practice on addressing Medicare issues in workers' compensation settlements through the preparation of Medicare Set-Aside arrangements. This includes preparing Medicare Set-Aside Arrangements and having the same approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to ensure that Medicare's interests have been adequately considered as required by the Medicare Secondary Payer Statute.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Allan worked as a journalist, reporting daily news for the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. While attending law school, Ms. Allan served as an extern for the United States Magistrate Judge Ila Jeanne Sensenich in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Allan is admitted to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
