Wheeling, West Virginia

Wheeling, ideally situated along the banks of the Ohio River, is steeped in rich history that dates to its founding and settlement by the Zane Brothers in 1769 via an overland route from the junction of the Youghiogheny and the Monongahela Rivers. A living treasure of American history, Wheeling is where the pipeline was opened to the settling of the west and where the industrial revolution took place. Known as the "Friendly City," Wheeling is home to the 150-year-old Wheeling Suspension Bridge and Victorian Old Town, a breathtaking group of homes along "Millionaire's Row" which is today a national Historic District.
