Wall elected to Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County


PITTSBURGH, PA, June 25, 2008 -- John G. Wall, Esq., a Member of the Pittsburgh office of Burns, White & Hickton, LLC, Attorneys at Law (BWH), has been elected to the Academy of Trial Layers of Allegheny County. Mr. Wall concentrates his practice in the areas of insurance law, personal injury, professional malpractice and commercial litigation. He was one of 10 other individuals who were elected to membership this year and joins fellow colleague David B. White as members of the Academy.

The Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County was founded in 1959 and has since grown to an elite organization limited to 250 active members. The Academy’s mission is to improve the civil litigation process in Allegheny County by both partnering with the judiciary and by increasing the quality of trial advocacy. The Academy is summarized by its former President Dennis St. J. Mulvihill as “a community of lawyers concerned with excellence.”

Mr. Wall joined the firm in 1989 and today has expanded his practice to include administrative law, with concentration in proceedings before the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. He has extensive trial experience, most of which has come as lead or sole counsel.

In addition, he is an active member of his community at St. John Neumann parish, where he has served as a religious education instructor for many years and as a volunteer for local youth sports organizations. Mr. Wall is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Allegheny County bar associations.

Mr. Wall obtained his Juris Doctor from the Duquesne University School of Law in 1990 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Louisville in 1983.
