Five Pittsburgh attorneys are Super Lawyers Rising Stars
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, December 1, 2008 — Five attorneys from Burns, White & Hickton have been named Rising Stars in Pennsylvania for 2008 by the publishers of Super Lawyers and Law & Politics magazines. The attorneys are:
Associate Sondra Binotto of Peters Township, Pa., in Workers’ Compensation-Medicare Compliance (Washington and Lee School of Law, J.D. 2003; Allegheny College, B.A. 2000),
Associate Antonio Comas of Scott Township, Pa., in Workers’ Compensation (Duquesne University School of Law, J.D. 2002; Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, B.S. 1998),
Associate Edwin Edwards of Hampton Township, Pa., in Business/Corporate (University of Pittsburgh School of Law, J.D. 2001; The Pennsylvania State University, B.A. 1995). Mr. Edwards is the subject of the magazine's cover story. Click here to follow link,
Member Travis Smith of North Strabane Township, Pa., in Workers’ Compensation (University of Pittsburgh School of Law, J.D. 2000; Johns Hopkins University, B.S. 1997), and
Associate Chad Wissinger of Franklin Park, Pa., the second year in a row, for Construction Litigation (Boston University School of Law, J.D. 1998; Dickinson College, B.A. 1995).
Only 2.5 percent of attorneys in Pennsylvania, as identified by Super Lawyers, receive this distinction. In 1998, the publishers of Law & Politics and Super Lawyers launched Rising Stars in Minnesota to recognize the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state -- those who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. Rising Stars are now recognized in Pennsylvania and 16 other states.
