Burns, White & Hickton opens new offices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, DECEMBER 29, 2009 —Law firm Burns, White & Hickton, LLC, has opened new offices in Cherry Hill, N.J., and Harrisburg, Pa., giving the firm eight offices in the mid-Atlantic region.

The firm has experienced growth both geographically and in its practice areas during the past three years, according to Jeffrey S. Adler, managing partner of the firm’s Philadelphia, Pa., and New Jersey, offices.

“We have tripled the number of attorneys in our Philadelphia-area office alone just in the past two and a half years,” noted Mr. Adler, “which has allowed us to expand, particularly in the areas of long-term care and products liability defense, workers’ compensation, financial services and professional liability.”

Attorney William Mundy of the firm’s Medical and Long-Term Care Group is among those working from the new Cherry Hill office. “Litigation involving medical and long-term care facilities is growing in New Jersey,” said Mr. Mundy, “and the new Cherry Hill office, along with our current Princeton location, will allow us to serve our clients more effectively throughout the state.”

Additionally, the firm’s recent involvement in legislative efforts on behalf of certain health care industry groups reinforced the need for a permanent firm presence in Pennsylvania’s capital. “We are working to meet the needs of our clients in central Pennsylvania, and coupled with Bill’s industry-wide efforts, Harrisburg is the logical place to do that,” Mr. Adler said.

The Cherry Hill office is at 51 Haddonfield Road, Suite 140, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002, phone: 856-382-6006, and the Harrisburg office is at 1607 North Second Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101, phone: 717-943-1095.
